i've been at play in the field between the shadow and the light most of my life. it's a fine line.

b.1950....continuous doodling from an early age.
  Pen and ink pointillism and pencil drawings since '75.
Collaboration with Joseph Edward Batter begins: october '79
 We discover the LIX Unit on April 1st '80
and begin the first of four "Earth Measure" illustrations.
Project completed May '93. Joe dies July '94
Spontaneously begin balancing rocks, september '95, Green Lake, B.C.

I've been asked why i call this art form "rockatree", whether it was "merely for the obvious bad pun? "
While that seems reason enough to name just about anything, there was another.To paraphrase Albert Einstein....
" the very first missiles were rocks and the very last ones will be too".

All we visual artists have to represent ourselves is a collection of self made images.
These images become our history, our reputation; it's how we make our living.
