Some SW Saskatchewan Bird shots:
Great Horned Owl
perched on a pole in the alley. When the sky lightened
I found
the headless duck it had been dining on, under a spruce tree
in the back yard.
The iridescence
of a magpie, like a crow or raven is seldom visible until
the light is just right.
This shot was from about
200 feet.
Eastend was filled
with oolloo-ing songs from two large flocks
of Sandhill
Cranes
as they wheeled in tight ellipses heading south.
Pheasant in the grass
Nuthatch
Headless Mallard
